I Can Only Imagine

“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these”- Matthew 19:14
I can only imagine the devastation upon hearing that your child had died, to a parent, family, the worst nightmare, and the unthinkable. This past week two families heard those words, the Jaimes family, a loss of 3 children, the Acuna family a loss of 2 Children. All in one tragic car accident, on their way for a day of fun at a water park, I can only imagine their questions of WHY?
This past week, our community, lost the love, the laughter and the innocents of five precious children. And, if your listen with your heart you will hear their void. So how do these cherished family breathe, begin anew with their lives without these Blessed children?
We do not know why tragedies such as this happen, though we MUST stand on our faith, for this is where we begin our journey of healing. And, we must remember that from the time we are born we are dying some…far, far too young. All things happen within God’s time; this is told to us in the Bible. Though, still I can only imagine the question within the hearts of this family
As I watched on my television of the tragedy being unfolded, I will NEVER forget the words of one of the relatives…”Please stand by us and help us get through this, please we need your help.” And, as the community we are, I can only imagine, we will not let them down.
I am very much a sentimental person, there are places to this day I drive by and just do not want to ever forget or to have them change. Home is one, several years ago I moved into my Aunt and Uncles home, built in 1957, it is our family home and I would not want to be anywhere else. Though, I never imagined just what God had given to me….more joy than I can ever begin to tell you of. My neighbors are Hispanic and truly my complete joy. I see the love, the gatherings, the precious side of the Hispanic community up close and personal. My heart simply sores when the children are outside playing or a there is a cook out. They have large families and they enjoy gatherings of the simple things and always with the laughter of many children.

With these word said, these families need us to help in any and every way we can, they need powerful prayer warriors.

There is another person who needs all prayer warriors, our beloved Father D. His loving touch, concern, kindness, gentleness, his Blessed words of assurance, visits to those in the hospital. All the while when his heart was broken, shows us that faith is much stronger then fear and it is our faith we turn to in times such as these. I can only imagine Father D’s own silent tears and heavy heart of sorrow.

As I said in the opening of my column, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to these.”- Matthew 19:14

As many of you know, I love to write with music it is so inspirational for me. So now I shall turn it over to the group Mercy Me…….I Can Only Imagine ~

I can only imagine what is will be like, when I walk by Your side…
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!
I can only imagine. I can only imagine.
Surrounded by your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing ‘Hallelujah!’! Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!
I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!
I can only imagine, when all I will do is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine……
